Autophagy and Mitophagy research tools

Autophagy, a process of self-degradation of cellular components, is important not only for balancing energy sources in development or in response to cellular stress but also for removing misfolded proteins, damaged organelles and pathogens. Autophagy is associated with human pathologies including cancer, neurodegeneration and infectious diseases.

The molecular components of autophagy are explored as new pharmacologic targets for drug development. arigo is proud to introduce our Autophagy antibody panel (ARG30321) which is ideal to facilitate autophagy-related studies.

Mitophagy antibodies

Mitophagy, the autophagic degradation of mitochondria, is a critical process for removing damaged mitochondria and preventing cell death caused by mitochondria-derived ROS. Dysfunctional mitophagy has been implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders, cancer, and metabolic diseases.

mitophagy
Mitophagy can be activated by nutrient deficiency, hypoxia, chemical stimulation, and loss of the mitochondrial membrane potential. These events lead to mitochondrial damage and activate different mitophagy pathways, including PINK1/Parkin-mediated ubiquitin pathway and receptor-mediated pathway. arigo offers quality antibodies to facilitate the research of mitophagy.
