The encoded receptor is a membrane proteoglycan that often functions as a co-receptor with other TGF-beta receptor superfamily members. Ectodomain shedding produces soluble TGFBR3, which may inhibit TGFB signaling. Decreased expression of this receptor has been observed in various cancers. Immunofluorescence: Paraformaldehyde-fixed A431 cells permeabilized with 0.15% Triton. Cells were stained with ARG64509 anti-TGFBR3 antibody (green) at 10 µg/ml dilution for 1 hour. DAPI (blue) for nuclear staining. Negative control: Unimmunized Goat IgG (green) at 10 µg/ml dilution.

Flow Cytometry: Paraformaldehyde-fixed A431 cells permeabilized with 0.5% Triton. Cells were stained with ARG64509 anti-TGFBR3 antibody (blue line) at 10 µg/ml dilution for 1 hour, followed by incubation with Alexa Fluor® 488 labelled secondary antibody. IgG control: Unimmunized Goat IgG (black line) followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 labelled secondary antibody.
